If the email is a valid GW2 login, the malicious party gets a "password reset link sent to your email" message rather than a "account does not exist" message, which means they are able to cull down that huge list of emails into only emails of GW2 players for later attack attempts. Send an email from the mail you used for the account. If you can't log in, submitting an anonymus support ticket would be the war to go. Be sure to include as much info about the acc as possible.

Oh hey, I saw that on my laptop earlier today. It was only happening (to me) when I tried to WP my guardian from Plains of Ashford to LA. I was able to log on to another character and WP from DR to LA no problem, and back to my guardian and diced with that weird screen again.

Fun when the last update in the change notes from 13 (some hotfix few days later and new post added) actually mentioning a server crash fix then suddenly the login servers down. :D. I guess with this happening for most that now try to login or that were in game and got int only on map change - we can be sure it is only the login server.
